The former lawmaker noted that the Churches spoke in their vote pattern suggesting Ghanaians were not ready for a non-Christian leader.

Kennedy Agyapong emphasised that if the NPP want power they should listen to Ghanaians as they only want to vote for him.

Speaking in a viral video from a party event, Kennedy Agyapong stated, “If they want power, Ghanaians say it is only Kennedy Agyapong they will vote for.”

“Do you want to remain home for another 4 years or 8 years? Are you ready for that? Let us listen to what the people are saying. Let us listen to what Ghanaians are saying”, he said.

Kennedy Agyapong further exclaimed, “The churches spoke. In this church we are in, they spoke. I am speaking in parables. The church spoke but we did not listen and we have seen what has happened”, he emphasised.

Kennedy Agyapong further jabbed Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to Kennedy Agyapong, Dr Bawumia who lost with over 2 million votes cannot be given another opportunity in 2028.

He added that the NPP shouldn’t reward poor electoral performance with second chances.

Ken Agyapong asserted that John Agyekum Kufuor and Akufo-Addo earned their second chances based on performance.

Kennedy Agyapon added,  “You can’t lose over 2 million votes and be given another opportunity to be NPP’s flagbearer.

Even Prof Adu Boahene, who broke the culture of silence by facing off with Rawlings, we didn’t make him our candidate for a second time after he lost the 1992 elections.

Those who don’t want to speak the truth will tell you that President Kufuor went two times, Akufo-Addo three times. How many times was Adu Boahene made a candidate?

Today, everybody is enlightened, don’t let them throw dust into your eyes,” he said.

He added, “The reason we made President Kufuor our candidate for a second time was that he used only three to four months to campaign during the first time.

Because of the votes he garnered within the four months, we decided that he should be our candidate again. This is the reason why he won when we made him our candidate again”.

“When Akufo-Addo went for the first time, he got 49.3%. The election went into a second round, but he could not win because of Tain,” he said.
