The man of God asserted that the NPP sympathizers must stop the nonsense and blind loyalty.

According to Kofi Oduro, if he is arrested and his church members amass at the Police station to demonstrate their displeasure do they know he might have committed before he was arrested?

Speaking to his congregant on Sunday, Prophet Dr Kofi Oduro stated, “Stop your nonsense, where is the rule of law, I standing here if the police come and arrest me and the people of Alabaster will storm the police station and say they will not agree do you know what I have done?

Let this foolish mindset of this nation disappear, do you know what I have done, when we close from here do you know what I go to do at my home?”

He added, “Why are you there with blind loyalty, stop your nonsense and trying to use commotion to cover the truth is that how you want to build your nation?”.

The man of God’s comments come on the heels of some NPP bigwigs and supporters amassing at the head office of the Economic and Organized Crime Office following the arrest of their Ashanti Regional Chairman.

Meanwhile, Chairman Wontumi was arrested by EOCO following a visit to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters on Tuesday, May 27 shortly after leaving the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters in Accra.

He was granted bail of GH₵50 million with two sureties on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, however, his legal team on Wednesday had not fully satisfied the conditions required to secure his release.

Wontumi’s legal team revealed that despite meeting the bail conditions, Wontumi’s release has been stalled due to a fresh legal application filed earlier in the day.

He explained, My client is not going home tonight. We encountered a challenge that needs to be addressed before we can move forward”.

Unknown to me, an application was filed to frustrate what we are doing. We will deal with it on Monday. It is an application that was not filed by me, but it has prohibited his release.

“We encountered some difficulties which will be sorted on Monday, then we will have a fresh slate to operate, and work towards the desired result,” Appiah-Kubi noted.
