Rev. Israel Eshun a Ghanaian man of God and founder of God Host Favour Chapel and Yesu Agyeme Herbal Centre has been arrested and remanded in police custody.
His arrest follows the discovery of the body of his 2-year-old son, buried in his church building.
According to reports, the man of God informed neighbours of his son’s ailment and subsequently took him to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
However, he returned home shortly after, claiming the child was non-responsive to treatment and had died on their journey back to Mankessim.
The claimed man of God proceeded to bury the 2-year-old without informing his wife and other family members, leading to a suspicion of wrongdoing.
The Ghana Police Service investigation, the decomposing body of the young boy was found, buried in a shallow grave at an uncompleted section of the church building.
Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have reacted to the shocking news by saying, “Every criminal case that comes up about these so-called “ man of God” are always darker than darkness”.
“Ewiase wei ankasa di3 666 wiase paa oo..people get heart oo herh”, another stated.
One user stated, “Is it that he’s avoiding the cost that comes with the burial of his son or what?”.
