Passion Air has reduced domestic airline fares by 10% effective June 17, 2025.
According to Passion Air, the reduction is due to the Ghanaian cedi continuing to post gains against major international currencies.
Passion Air in a post on Facebook stated, “This fare adjustment comes in response to the recent strengthening of the Cedi (GHs) against major foreign currencies.
At PassionAir, we are committed to ensuring our valued customers benefit directly from positive market developments.
They asserted that the adjustment is part of efforts to pass on cost savings to passengers while preserving service standards.
“As the domestic aviation landscape evolves, we remain focused on offering competitive fares’ that reflect these changes. While maintaining our commitment to the safety and comfort of our passengers, we continue to prioritize making domestic air travel more accessible and affordable for all Ghanaians”, they stated.
On June 11, Transport Minister Joseph Bukari Nikpe urged the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority to adjust domestic airlines’ pricing in line with the local currency’s appreciation.
