Kwaku Sintim-Misa, a Comedian and social commentator has ordered the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) and Attorney General to start recovering stolen funds.
According to KSM, the Special Prosecutor and Attorney General must take action against corruption-related offences and avoid the series of press conferences.
KSM lamented how several key government agencies embezzled and looted when the nation was in debt and required IMF assistance.
Speaking in a video shared on YouTube, Kwaku Sintim-Misa stated, “The numbers that are being looted are staggering. It’s sad. If you think about the fact that we had to go to the IMF to beg. Yet people were looting.
“If we can recover the loot, all these taxes would have been needless. So, to the OSP and the AG. Let’s see something. We can’t allow the steam to be lost; put more fire under the pot”.
He further lamented, “Every time the OSP is organising press conferences, we are tired. Start moving. Unless he doesn’t have evidence. If he has evidence, chase them. Recover the money. Don’t show any mercy to any criminal,”
No more talk, start recovering stolen funds!”, KSM boldly stated.
His comments come following Dr Dominic Ayine, the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice revealing that NSS ghost names suspect siphoned a whopping GH¢548 million.
He revealed that the former National Service Authority (NSA) under the former government ran a criminal enterprise which siphoned huge sums of public funds including over GHC548 million.
Also, the Office of the Special has been chasing the former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta.
It will be recalled the OSP accused him of causing financial loss to the state in several dealings including the construction of the famous National Cathedral and Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA’s) – Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Ltd (SML), the loss reduction contract between ECG and Beijing Jao and Health Ministry to Service Ghana Auto Limited/Ambulances.
