The newly appointed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Lawra in the Upper West Region, Alhaji Adams Muazu, has been confirmed dead.
He passed away on Tuesday morning after a short illness in Accra.
The late Adam Muazu was sworn into office in April 2025.
The information gathered suggests he was unwell prior to his appointment.
Alhaji Muazu’s final public assignment was to commiserate with the school and the bereaved families following tragic drowning of seven students from Lawra Senior High School at the Dikpe River.
The late Adam Muazu served as a Propaganda Secretary for the NDC and a two-time successful parliamentary campaign coordinator for the current MP, Bede A. Ziedeng.
He was a teacher and a businessman, and also the founder of Superteck Digital Studios.
He was 53 years old, with three wives and seven children.
The late Adam Muazu is expected to be flown to Lawra on Tuesday, June 24 for burial.
