It will be recalled that the home of  Maxwell Kofi Jumah was stormed by National Security operatives in an attempt to recover state-owned vehicles reportedly in his possession.

According to reports, the raid on Kofi Jumah’s home occurred in the early morning of  Thursday, May 15, 2025.

The information gathered is that the former GIHOC boss is currently under investigation for alleged financial illegality during his tenure, as well as the acquisition of state vehicles and the mismanagement of company assets.

On August 1, 2019, a letter from the Board of Directors of GIHOC approved Mr. Jumah’s purchase of a Genesis G90 saloon car (registration number GE 86 22-19), following his Conditions of Service as Managing Director.

The vehicle valued at over $100,000 was sold to him shockingly for just 5% of its value, GHS 4,943.11. A letter signed by the company’s Secretary and Head of Administration, Apea Twumasi-Ankrah, confirmed it.

Reports suggest an independent valuation conducted by the State Transport Corporation placed the car’s value at GHS 98,862.00. The assessment was completed by Daniel K. Orhin, with certification number 0014073.

Also, Kofi Jumah is being investigated for allegedly retaining two additional official vehicles, including an Audi valued at over $60,000.

Additional allegations suggest Kofi Jumah inflated the staff numbers at GIHOC and is also accused of selling company properties in Tema valued at over $700,000 without authorisation.

Magdalene Ndamley, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited (GIHOC) has shockingly accused the former CEO of GIHOC, Maxwell Kofi Jumah, of stealing, which led to the collapse of GIHOC.

According to Magdalene Ndamley, Kofi Jumah was allegedly stealing GH¢40,000 weekly from GIHOC for eight years.

She boldly asserted that the former CEO incurred massive debts, which led to the collapse of GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited.

Magdalene Ndamley further revealed that GIHOC collapsed because management and staff were looting the resources of the company.

Meanwhile, Mustapha Gbande, the Deputy Director of Operations at the Presidency, has boldly stated that the former CEO of the Ghana Industrial Holding Company (GIHOC), Maxwell Kofi Jumah, will soon take his medication in jail.
