25 private senior high schools (SHS) have been added to the 2025 school selection process under the Free SHS by the Ministry of Education.
The private senior high schools mark the first time private SHSs have been included in the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS).
The 25 private senior high schools have been placed under the Category E and are located across all 16 regions.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) extended the deadline for the school selection process to Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
According to the Ministry of Education, the inclusion of the 25 private senior high schools (SHS) expands access to second-cycle education and will reduce pressure on public SHSs.

Ken Hammer Senior High Technical School, Goaso – Ahafo Region
Mint Senior High School, Yeji – Bono East Region
St. Luke SHS, Mankessim – Central Region
St. Richard’s SHS, Assin Foso – Central Region
Mount Hebron College, Dunkwa-On-Offin – Central Region
Domaa College, Ekumfi Swedru – Central Region
Samtet Oxford Senior High School, Atachem – Central Region
Samme SHS (New Site), Mankessim – Central Region
Modern Senior High School, Kpong – Eastern Region
King David Community College, Kpong – Eastern Region
Somanya Senior High Technical School, Somanya – Eastern Region
Ideal College, East Legon – Greater Accra Region
Cambridge Senior High Technical School, Madina Estate – Greater Accra Region
