Dr Sammy Ayeh, a communication team member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has mocked the former vice president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
The NDC communicator noted that Dr Bawumia, during the 2024 election campaign, asserted he had bold solutions to Ghana’s problems, but today is saying he has rich ideas.
Dr Ayeh in a post on X stated, “ From Bold solutions to rich ideas 😂😂😂”.
His comments come on the back of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the former vice president and New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate in the 2024 elections, who has stated he may not be rich, but he has rich ideas.
The former vice president tackled Kennedy Agyapong over his recent claims that he could raise $7 million with one phone call.
Kennedy Agyapong, who contested the party’s 2023 flagbearer race and remains a strong contender, pledged to raise up to $7 million to support grassroots organisations if the party agrees to restructure from the bottom up.
Speaking to some NPP constituency chairmen in Kumasi on Saturday, Kennedy Agyapong stated, “I don’t care if I personally lack funds. With one phone call, I can secure $7 million to help organise the party from the bottom up and make sure we do things properly”.
The former Vice President, speaking in a meeting with over 200 former MMDCEs, says poor people can also be the President of Ghana.
His remarks come just days after Kennedy Agyapong told party constituency chairmen, he could raise $7 million with a single phone call to organise the party’s internal elections.
Dr Bawumia is quoted by JOY NEWS to have stated, “ I may not be rich, but I have rich ideas. Poor people can also be presidents of Ghana”.
Meanwhile, Kennedy Agyapong, an NPP flagbearer hopeful, has fired back at Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the former vice president and New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate in the 2024 elections.
According to Kennedy Agyapong, Dr Bawumia has rich ideas but nothing to show for it.
He further asserted that Ghana needs more doers, not dreamers in suits giving speeches.
In a post on X, Kennedy Agyapong stated, “In this world, some have rich ideas and nothing to show for it. Others turn ideas into results and wealth. Ghana needs more doers, not dreamers in suits giving speeches”.
