Asiedu Nketia’s son has no connection to Trassaco land dispute – Lawyer issues stern warning

The lawyer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman’s son, Dr Kwaku Asiedu-Nketia has warned persons of spreading false information regarding their client.

According to the legal team of Dr Kwaku Asiedu-Nketia,  they have intercepted a video circulating in the media and on some social platforms attributing the ownership of a parcel of land behind Trassaco to their client.

They boldly emphasised in a statement issued that their client has no interest nor any connection to the said land under litigation.

In a viral video, a man accused Dr Kwaku Asiedu-Nketia of trying to intimidate them with the military.

The man stated, “ If they had genuine documents the police could assist them, the name that we are hearing is our National Chairman Asiedu Nketia’s son is the one doing this. Under the NPP we did not allow them how much more than our own party.

The advice I will give my Chairman is that whether he is among them or not he should advise his son because he has an ambition. He and his son should stay clear of the land. If he wants lands he can go to the Brong Ahafo”.

A statement signed by Dennis Yao Terkpertey Esq read, “We have intercepted a video circulating in the media and on some social platforms attributing the ownership of a parcel of land situated and lying at Nmai Dzorm, behind Trassaco, which is a subject of litigation, to our Client”.

We wish to place on record that, our Client has no interest nor any connection to the said land under litigation. The said land dispute, according to our reliable sources and information, is between two traditional councils, and any attempt to draw our Client’s name into the dispute shall be fiercely resisted and the necessary and the appropriate legal action will be taken against any media house or persons behind such false, malicious and misleading publications”, they added.

The statement added, “Further information received indicates that, the said land is the subject of litigation before a Court of competent jurisdiction and we want to place on record that, our Client is not a party to the said litigation We are by this press statement, cautioning all media houses and persons circulating this false information with the attempt to bring the name of our Client into disrepute and public ridicule.

The legal team of Asiedu Nketia’s son further serve a notice to the public saying, “Any media house or persons circulating same on social media, we have express instructions from our Client to institute legal actions against the said media house and persons and further press criminal charges to the aspect that borders on criminality”.

They further called on Harry Otoo Hesse, the brain behind the circulated video to immediately retract the said video and render an unqualified apology within 24 hours using the same medium, or face legal action.
