A  video has surfaced of a light moments at the Afienya D/A Basic School as Hon. Sam Nartey George sat for 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) session.

The communication Minister  as part of the commissioning of the newly built six-unit classroom block donated by the Dzata Foundation and the Joberg foundation sat for the BECE.

In the viral video shared on X Sam George stated, “Aban papa aba, data prices have gone down, dollar has gone down. True or False”

Sam George comment come admist the netizens on X showering praises on him after he announced that MTN, Telecel and AT will increase their data bundle effective July 1, 2025.

According to one netizen, Sam George has done what Ursula Owusu could not do in 8 years.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday Sam George stated, “Starting July 1, AT-Tigo Ghana will offer a 10% increase in all data bundles currently offered by the network. Additionally, the GHC400 bundle, which currently offers 195 gigabytes of data, will now offer 236 gigabytes of data.”

“Ghana Telecommunications Company Limited- Telecel, also a 10% increase in all data bundles currently offered by the network. Their GHC400 bundle, which currently offers 90 gigabytes, will offer 250 gigabytes from July 1.”

“Scancom Ghana Limited-MTN has a 15% increase in all data bundles currently offered by the network. I’m pleased to announce the restoration of the GHC399 bundles, which have been changed to the GHC350 bundle that offers 92.88 gigabytes, will be reinstated to 214 gigabytes for GHC399,” he said.

Meanwhile, over 60,000 candidates have begun the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) today Wednesday, June 11.
