According to Mugabe Maase, the Mahama administration has snubbed Radio Gold, Accra FM, Ahotor FM, and Class FM and appointed journalists from Adom FM, JOY FM, and TV3.

He asserted that media outlets owned by Seidu Agongo have also been neglected for government appointments despite their constant support for the NDC during its eight years in opposition.

Mugabe Maase, an NDC sympathizer, painted a picture of betrayal and neglect, alleging that journalists who endured difficult conditions to campaign for the NDC have now been left behind in favour of journalists from Joy FM, Adom FM, and TV3.

Speaking on TV XYZ, an enraged Mugabe Maase stated, “Doesn’t Bodie Ansah deserve an appointment, those Adom FM, JOY FM, and TV3 when we were working where were they?  Do you remember Radio Gold people? You appointed people from TV3 and multimedia when people from Radio Gold were there.

People are complaining when we call you, you don’t pick up. When you were looking for power at 2 am you were calling Mugabe to go to Kumasi, Tamale, Winneba. You have ignored your footsoldiers and the grassroots.

In Winneba, we had to sleep in the open and got sick as a result. Now, people are already complaining that you’ve changed your phone numbers,” he recalled.

He added, “Alhaji Seidu Agongo did you remember him. You’ve given appointments to over 15 journalists, and Bobie Ansah has been sidelined. You’ve forgotten Radio Gold, Accra FM, Ahotor FM, and Class FM”.

He further listed several Journalists who have been snubbed by the Mahama government,  including Bobie Ansah, Valentina Ofori-Afriyie, Samuel Wutor, Nancy Obimpeh, and Alaska of Ahotor FM.

Mugabe added that they all sacrificed for the NDC and should not have to queue for recognition or appointments.

He further claimed he needed nothing from the Mahama government saying, “I don’t need anything from the government. It isn’t now that I want to build a house or acquire land. I’ve already lived my life. But you people, do the right thing”.
