The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC has once again gone after the former Assin Central member of parliament Kennedy Agyapong.
According to Abronye DC, Kennedy Agyapong received a 645 million cedis ECG contract but only donated 1 million to the NPP.
He noted that Kennedy Agyagong goes around accusing ministers of not helping the NPP footsoldiers but he is the one contracts have been given to as a businessman.
His comment comes on the back of Kennedy Agyapong donating 1 million cedis to NPP to pay arrears owed to workers in camera.
Kennedy Agyapong stated, “It is not only unique to the NPP, but every party when they go to the opposition, they face financial or resource challenges. So, I came from Madagascar, and I heard the news that for four months, we’ve not been able to pay salaries and even money to work.
“So, I decided I’ll come and give my widow’s mite as a contribution to help run the administration of the party”.
He added; “We just came to opposition in about four months, and it’s sad that we cannot run the party, which I think is not good enough. So, my message is simple. I’ve come this morning to give my widow’s mite as a contribution to enable you to run the party.”
Speaking on Wontumi TV, Abronye DC detailed, “He says he is a man, I sleep in a gutter, have you seen my poster somewhere that I want to become president?
When you took 645 million cedis, Nana Addo Dankwah gave you the contract, what insult did you not throw at Akufo-Addo, have you heard Kennedy come out to say has gotten this job from ECG and the contract sum is this amount all he goes about doing is that this minister is not looking after foot soldiers”.
He added, “You are the one that the job has been given to as a businessman and as a party member when you got the money who did you look after? 645 million in December you brought 1 million to the NPP and you wanted the whole world to see that Kennedy Agyapong is donating.
That person isn’t he a fanfool, the sense in his head is for people to say he is the one doing something. This is just ECG alone go to COCOBOD”.
