Ghanaian blogger, Albert Nat Hyde commonly known as Bongo Ideas has reacted to a viral video of a man insulting President John Dramani Mahama.

Bongo Ideas noted that under former president Akufo-Addo, the man in the viral video would have been tortured until he passed out.

In the viral video, the man insulted John Mahama, calling him a fool and questioning him if Chairman Wontumi’s Akonta Mining was operating in his hometown in Gonja.

He further stated God was going to punish Mahama and labelled him a dictator, and a prostitute man.

Bongo Ideas in a post on X reacting to the video stated, “Under Akufo-Addo, this man’s door would have been broken down at 2 am with gun-wielding men ready to cuff him, drive him to a secluded spot, torture him until he passes out and dump him in a bush somewhere. Mahama is different!”.

It will be recalled Bongo Ideas was reportedly kidnapped and tortured by some elements within the National Security apparatus in March 2024.

He claimed he was beaten up by these men and asked not to speak again about former President  Akufo-Addo on his social media posts.

“So on 14th March 2024, around 3 am, some men masquerading as police officers broke into my room and dragged me out. I was threatened to be killed, pistols were pointed at my head.

“I was told to say my last prayers. They beat me up and warned me not to speak about the president,” he recounted.

Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have reacted to the video saying, “When I tell people that JDM is very tolerant, this is what I mean. But then these smaller fishes are not worth wasting precious moments on them.

He will soon come and apologize. Just wait”.

“It doesn’t mean this man should be spared. And if you misbehave this time too, you have to be dealt with equally”, another stated.

“Bongo really telling us what really happened to him during fellow Ghanaians tenure”.
