It has been alleged that self-styled medical practitioner, ‘Dr’ Anne Sansa Daly served as the personal physician for President John Dramani Mahama while he was in opposition.
In a post on social media Anne Sansa Daly thanked President-elect of Ghana John Dramani Mahama for his victory in the December polls and also revealed how she served as a personal physician to him during his time in opposition.
Anne Sansa Daly in her post on December 10, 2024, wrote, “Congratulations to President-elect of Ghana John Dramani Mahama on this well deserved victory. Its been a great honour serving you as a personal physician especially during the difficult times in opposition and throughout the very tough campaign. You did it”.
Anne Sansa Daly was appointed as a board member of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) but has been revoked by President John Mahama with immediate effect.
According to reports, Anne Sansa Daly’s appointment revocation follows the brouhaha surrounding her appointment after reports her medical credentials are fake.
The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, in a letter dated May 23, 2025, and signed by the Secretary to the President, Callistus Mahama revealed the revocation.
The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the USA has revealed they cannot locate a record under the name Anne Sansa Daly.
This comes after a concerned citizen, a pharmacist identified as Reginald Sekyi-Brown, wrote to the Office of the Registrar of the school on May 25, 2025.
In response to the letter, the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine stated, “Hello, We are unable to locate a record under this name,” a response from Johns Hopkins read.
Meanwhile, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, a media personality and social activist has declared fake doctor Anne Sansa Daly must be arrested and prosecuted.
According to Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, the Medical and Dental Council must push for the arrest and prosecution of Anne Sansa Daly.
He asserted that even if the fake doctor was not administering medicine to patients, her misrepresentation on TV as a medical doctor was a crime.
