“Our mothers, rush home immediately after selling in the market. If anything happens to you, there is effectively no law to protect you,” he said.

He added, “When your child is defiled in the future, you’ll be finished if you don’t have money. We live in a country where if you are robbed, you cannot speak out.”

“Those who are supposed to ensure justice are the ones being suspended. They are facing reproach from this government.”

Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have also reacted to Stephen Amoah’s statement saying, “Make the country ungovernable” in full force. NPP never stands for Ghana aside themselves”.

“Madam Charlotte Osei human, what has she done when you people removed her? By then you were laughing and you said petitioners were faceless, NPP learn from your past and stop choking our ears for us , we are tire of you. Now CEDI’s is gaining its ground”, a netizen wrote.

The freedom you used to shout that it is broken proves that it still breathes. U can’t curse the roof over your head while it’s still keeping out the rain”, additionally another netizen wrote.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) together with some political parties are staging a demonstration today, Monday, May 5 against Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo by President John Dramani Mahama.

The NPP are walking through the principal streets of Accra together with the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), National Democratic Party (NDP), People’s National Party (PNP), Ghana Union Movement (GUM), among others.

According to the NPP, the National Democratic Congress’s attempt to remove the Chief Justice is calculated and dangerous interference in the judiciary.

The NPP’s planned demo comes on the back of  President John Dramani Mahama suspending Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo following a prima facie case being determined against her by the Council of State.

The President consequently, established a committee in compliance with Article 146(6) of the Constitution and in consultation with the Council of State with the following composition to inquire into the petitions which have been referred to them.
