Ibrahim Mahama, a Ghanaian business mogul and billionaire and Renowned philanthropist has fully funded $70,000 surgery for a one-and-a-half-year-old leukaemia patient.

Reports suggest, that Ibrahim Mahama covered fully the medical expenses of a patient named Phoebe, who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia.

GHONE TV in a post on X wrote, “Ibrahim Mahama fully funds $70,000 life-saving surgery for one-and-a-half-year-old Phoebe, diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia”.

This comes barely a month after Ibrahim Mahama stepped in to support Suzy Adwoa Pinamang’s urgent need for medical care.

Suzy a second-year student of Adventist Senior High School in Bantama was accidentally shot in the eye by a classmate.

The business tycoon sponsored emergency medical treatment in the United Kingdom for Suzy Adwoa Pinamang with reports suggesting she could now see after her surgery.

Just yesterday, Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang heaped praises on Ibrahim Mahama the brother of President John Dramani Mahama following her return back home to Ghana.

Speaking at the Presidential Lounge of Kotoka International Airport on Thursday, May 22, 2025, she stated, “I want to thank all of you, your prayers, your good wishes. I can’t thank you enough. I am very grateful.

But I must single out, beyond family and friends, your brother Ibrahim Mahama. He spared no effort to ensure I had everything I needed. He also came to the hospital and sat by me, and that in itself was healing”.

Additionally, Kofi Adoma Nwanwani the host and CEO of KOFI TV and Radio has expressed his gratitude to Ibrahim Mahama for his support during the time he suffered an eye injury.

According to Kofi Adoma, he has known Ibrahim Mahama for a while and acknowledged his consistent generosity toward others, even before extending help to him.

He added that the consistent generosity of the Managing Director of Engineers & Planners highlights his genuine character.

Kofi Adoma noted that although he’s unaware of his future plans, he would be pleased if Ibrahim Mahama chose to enter politics.

He further revealed that Ibrahim Mahama took the initiative to reach out and offer assistance throughout his recovery process.
