Speaking on Neat FM, Alex Kwaku Tetteh detailed, “When the CID got to Kumasi they called me and I was in Accra and I gave them the location of wherever he was.

I was the one who gave the location in Kumasi. Yes, I was the one who gave the location to Chairman Wontumi’s house in Kumasi, any corner that he is me I know of it. I was the one who disclosed it when they asked”.

He added, “We are all Ghanaians, I acted as a whistleblower and he made us know that if the government is coming to Kumasi he negotiate with the government, he claimed that before the president came to Kumasi from Mahama’s time he was the one that said it not me, National Security has to negotiate with him before, he claimed he was powerful than the Otumfuo.

When they called me I asked them to wait and I gave them 5 house locations. When they got there Wontumi called the Director of CID that they should give him up to Monday he would report himself”.

He further alleged that Wontumi took 12 million from the EXIM bank with the case now in court.

Alex Kwaku Tetteh added, “If you claim I am lying call Paul Adom Otchere and call this man at the EXIM bank Agyin Sam I know for a record  Wontumi collected 12 million dollars first and second trench of 8 million dollars they claim they did not give it to him.

Wontumi told them at a board meeting that they were even lucky that they called him and he came because he as a Regional Chairman why would he receive money and they call him? So they used the law to drag Wontumi to court.

I am stating clearly that anytime they need evidence of my claims I will give the public evidence”, he boldly stated.

Meanwhile, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been served a writ of summons by Exim Bank adding to his legal challenges.

The  Exim Bank writ of summons follows Wontumi’s interrogation by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

Wontumi’s lawyer and former Member of Parliament for Asante-Akim North revealed that amidst these developments, they received a writ of summons from Exim Bank earlier in the afternoon.

Speaking to the media he stated, “Nevertheless, we have also received this afternoon a writ of summons from Exim Bank, and we are going to respond to the pleadings tomorrow. I am very hopeful that we will be able to mount a defence to the writ”.

“When we are in court, we will indicate to the court that this is a civil matter, for which reason Exim Bank has issued a writ to us, which we are also responding to. So, this one of a supposed criminal investigation, I am sure and confident that we will be able to mount a defence,” Appiah-Kubi added.

Sadly these people want to lead our party? You reported a whole regional chairman of the party you’re seeking to lead? Look at how he’s being… pic.twitter.com/NPu9xh2msH
