President John Mahama has announced his participation in the upcoming Ghana Fashion Week slated for July 2025.
According to President Mahama, he is going to walk on the catwalk.
The president revealed he will grace the runway with three different outfit changes.
John Mahama at the unveiling of the Black Star Experience stated, “This experience is real and belongs to all of us, you notice I wear a made-in-Ghana dress, and I have political suits all sold by Ghanaian designers and even if you see me wear a suit it is made in Ghana.
That day I am going to go into my wardrobe, I am going to change three times and I am going to walk on the catwalk and anytime I walk I will tell you which designer made that particular dress”.
He further revealed plans for Ghana to host street carnivals in Accra, Tamale, Kumasi, Ho and Takoradi.
He added, “I also eagerly anticipate the Accra, Tamale, Kumasi, Ho and Takoradi street carnivals, we are going to have street carnivals in all these regional capitals and the youth are going to come out, we are going to have masquerades we are going to do all kinds of things.
We are also going to have the taste Of Ghana’s food fair where we showcase our food, if you go to many African countries they have just one food, in Ghana, we have a lot”.
