Andy Appiah-Kubi, the former Asante Akim North MP has boldly claimed Ghana can only be developed by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to Andy Appiah-Kubi, the NPP believes they can do better and also stressed that Bryan Acheampong is the one who can deliver that.
Speaking to some journalists Appiah-Kubi stated, “The NPP is the only party that can develop Ghana. We believe we can do better, and Bryan Acheampong is the one who can deliver that”.
He further threw his support for the former Agriculture Minister and current Abetifi MP, Dr. Bryan Acheampong who he labelled as a great candidate who can redeem the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to Andy Appiah-Kubi, Dr Bryan Acheampong is the ideal candidate to lead.
He stressed the NPP’s need to present a strong candidate capable of revitalizing the NPP and winning the 2028 elections.
He added, “Our task is to present a great candidate who can redeem our party, NPP, and Dr. Bryan Acheampong is preparing himself for that mission”.
The former lawmaker further underlined Bryan Acheampong’s intelligence and business knowledge as key characteristics that position him as the perfect choice for leadership.
“If we are looking for a candidate with intellectual prowess, Bryan is the one. If we want a successful business mogul, he’s that too. So with him, we’re killing two birds with one stone,” he remarked.
“He is the only person who can bring the party back to power”.
Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have reacted to his comments saying, “I pity Ghana o USA wether Democrats or Republicans. Whoever wins after Inauguration they come together as one country and move the nation forward. But Ghana dier one person want another person to fail even if that person is making things right in the right direction?”.
“Not long ago when we thought NPP was the only party with the “Men” to manage Gh.not long ago we thought you guys were self made BUT you just exhausted all that goodwill and proved you ain’t.NPP has a long way to go in terms of goodwill”, another stated.
One netizen also wrote, “No be this man his party almost killed him, loyalty to party over nation and personal life”.
Additionally, an X user wrote, “I sometimes blame the kind of journalism we do here is Ghana. Sometimes let use our conscience a little, the scar and mark his party left on us isn’t healed yet, and you’re adding salt to the scar”.
