According to members of Trump’s cabinet, football fans are welcome to the USA but they are warned not to overstay their visas.

The cabinet members however urged visitors to explore the USA as they visit the venues and explore the vibrant American culture.

In a viral video posted on the social media platform X U.S. Vice President JD Vance stated, “Of course, everybody is welcome to come and see this event, I know we will have visitors from close to 100 countries.

We want them to come, we want them to celebrate, we want them to watch the games. But when the time is up, they will have to go home — otherwise, they’ll have to talk to the Secretary”.

The U.S. Secretary of Transportation also encouraged visitors to explore more of the country during their stay but warned on the need to respect visa rules.

He added, “We’re going to encourage everyone to go on a road trip to celebrate our great country. So if you’re coming to see some soccer, go on a road trip and see America. Don’t overstay your visa.

Don’t stay too long. But when you come, actually see this great country that we’re going to celebrate over the course of the next year and again we welcome everyone, this team will work to ensure the event goes on without a hitch”.

Meanwhile, the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, with matches held in 16 cities across the three countries.

It marks the first time three nations have jointly hosted a World Cup.

Next year’s tournament will also feature an extraordinary increase of teams from the previous 32 to 48 teams making it the largest World Cup in history.

Some Ghanaians have however shared their opinion saying, “ What’s wrong with what they saying? Is their country they choose to do whatever they want”.

“That is their plan but we the visitors too get our plans is a matter of we getting the visa that be all. Vance is just a useless vice he always creates problems”, another stated.

A netizen also added, “More reason for Africa to kick their asses out of their countries and cut ties with them forever💔”.
