Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the former Communications Manager for the Dr Mahamudu Bawumia campaign has stated that National Security must conduct checks on Mahama’s appointees.
According to Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the president may be misled in several instances when it comes to appointments.
Speaking on a panel discussion on Asempa FM, Dennis Miracles Aboagye asserted that the National Security and the NIB must do background checks on all presidential appointees.
Dennis Miracles Aboagye stated, “My call is that National Security should conduct background checks on all the president’s appointees and submit a report, because the president may be misled in several instances. Sometimes, even after the president signs off on a list of appointees, the names on the final list are altered before it is announced.
A lot happens without the president’s knowledge. The president often doesn’t have the time to review the list again before it is released. There are people with appointments that were not directly sanctioned by the president their names were inserted without his knowledge.”
“I believe National Security and the NIB should focus on these matters. We politicians whom they are constantly monitoring are less than 1% of the population. For now, they should prioritize these efforts to support the president, because many people are walking around with fake credentials,” he added.
His comments come on the heels of Anne Sansa Daly who was appointed as a board member of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) being revoked by President John Mahama with immediate effect.
According to reports, Anne Sansa Daly’s appointment revocation follows the brouhaha surrounding her appointment after reports her medical credentials are fake.
The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, in a letter dated May 23, 2025, and signed by the Secretary to the President, Callistus Mahama revealed the revocation.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has refuted reports that Ms Anne Sansa Daly was sworn in as a member of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).
According to the Health Ministry, during the swearing-in ceremony held on May 27, 2025, Ms Anne Sansa Daly was not sworn in.
The ministry spokesperson Tony Goodman in a press release issued described the Graphic Online report as misleading.
The statement stated, “The Ministry wishes to categorically deny the allegations contained in the said publication and to present the facts”.
“It is important to clarify that Ms Daly was not sworn in on the 27th of May 2025, during the swearing-in ceremony held at the Ministry of Health”, the statement added.
