The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Digital Centres Limited Dzifa Gunu has quizzed Stan Dogbe the Deputy Chief of Staff as to whether he delivered the petition submitted by the “Save the Judiciary” demonstrators to President John Dramani Mahama.
According to Dzifa Gunu the way Stan Dogbe folded the petition in one hand he doubts if the petition was delivered to the president after the demonstration yesterday.
In a post shared on X by a netizen Dzifa Gunu quizzed, “ But Efo Stan Xoese Dogbe, the way you folded the petition, are you sure you sent it to your boss?”
Addressing the group after receiving the petition, Stan Dogbe stated that all actions taken by President Mahama are grounded in the 1992 Constitution.
He stated, “We are happy that your process started this morning [Monday, May 5] and ended very peacefully. That in itself is a very strong message about the democracy that President Mahama wants to instil”.
He further rejected the allegation that the President harbours a retaliatory agenda, highlighting Mahama’s established reputation as a unifying leader.
Stan Dogbe added, “If it were the case, like over the past 8 years, I am sure that the retaliatory politics that we talk about wouldn’t have been the case. Your referencing retaliatory politics is an admission that the 8 years of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo were not the best”.
“You are assured that President Mahama, as every Ghanaian knows, is not one of those politicians; he doesn’t believe in retaliatory politics. He is described as ‘too much father for all persons’. Whatever decisions that are being taken now are in line with our 1992 Constitution,” Dogbe stated.
