Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Vice President and 2024 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has boldly stated by 2028 Ghanaians will be calling for the NPP to come back and rescue them.

According to Dr Bawumia, with time Ghanaians will see the good works of the Akufo-Addo and the NPP.

Speaking to party members in the Eastern Region during the NPP’s ongoing nationwide Thank You Tour, Dr Bawumia stated, “Today, when you look at it, my own boss Nana is not as popular as before, is that not so? But I have strong conviction that posterity will be very kind to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Because people with time will appreciate the work he came to do for Ghana, today we do not see it”.

The former vice president also added that by 2028 he believes Ghanaians will be calling for the NPP to come and rescue them.

He added, “Today they may not see it, but they will see it very soon and by 2028 I believe Ghanaians will be calling for the NPP to come back and rescue them”.

“Thank you all for your efforts in 2024, and for your continuous commitment to the NPP. Let us stay united and make our great party stronger.”

Meanwhile, in a related story regarding the NPP the member for Abetifi Constituency, Bryan Acheampong is set to  announce his decision to contest for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearership position for the 2028 elections.

According to a media report, Bryan Acheampong will contest for the NPP flagbearership.

Dr Mahamudu Bawuma, Kennedy Agyapong,  Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, and now Bryan Acheampong are all in the running to become the next NPP flagbearer.

In a related story Andy Appiah-Kubi, the former Asante Akim North MP has stated the former Agriculture Minister and current Abetifi MP, Dr. Bryan Acheampong is a great candidate who can redeem the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to Andy Appiah-Kubi, Dr Bryan Acheampong is the ideal candidate to lead.

He stressed the NPP’s need to present a strong candidate capable of revitalizing the NPP and winning the 2028 elections.
