Speaking to journalists Appiah-Kubi stated, “Our task is to present a great candidate who can redeem our party, NPP, and Dr. Bryan Acheampong is preparing himself for that mission”.

The former lawmaker further underlined Bryan Acheampong’s intelligence and business knowledge as key characteristics that position him as the perfect choice for leadership.

“If we are looking for a candidate with intellectual prowess, Bryan is the one. If we want a successful business mogul, he’s that too. So with him, we’re killing two birds with one stone,” he remarked.

The member for Abetifi Constituency, Bryan Acheampong announced his decision to contest for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearership position for the 2028 elections.

According to a media report, Bryan Acheampong will contest for the NPP flagbearership.

Dr Mahamudu Bawuma, Kennedy Agyapong,  Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, and now Bryan Acheampong are all in the running to become the next NPP flagbearer.

Meanwhile, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate for the 2024 general elections Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has revealed the NPP plans to elect its 2028 presidential candidate lastest by January next year.

According to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP elected its 2024 presidential candidate in November which gave John Mahama an advantage as he was already the NDC presidential candidate and had already been touring the country.

Dr Bawumia asserted that the NPP did not have time for reconciliation after their internal elections as there was a lot of fallout from many constituencies.
