Ace broadcast Journalist Bridget Otoo has quit Accra-based television station, Metro TV.
Bridget Otoo resigned three years after joining the media house in 2021 as a news anchor and presenter.
In 2021 the presenter expressed gratitude to Metro TV for the opportunity given to her to join the company when she joined after a break from the television screen.
Bridget Otoo wrote in 2021 after joining Metro TV. “I would like to say thank you to the Managing Director of Metro TV@kayodeAkintemi for trusting and accepting me for who I am and Dr. Randy Abbey for the absolute belief in me”.
Metro TV in a post in 2021 also stated, “The latest member in the crew @Bridget_Otoo We’re glad to have you on board; looking forward to reaching higher heights with you here”.
The broadcaster is yet to officially announce her resignation but sources close to her indicate she has formally informed the management of Metro TV of her decision.
Bridget Otoo resigned after thanking her colleagues on their WhatsApp group page.
Meanwhile, Bridget Otoo has pleaded with President John Mahama to appoint her as the Director-General of state broadcaster, GTV for just a week.
According to her, she will use that week to shake up things at GTV.
In a post on X, she wrote, “Dear @JDMahama Could you please appoint me as DG of @GTV_Ghana for one week? I want to do something small for there.”
