Nikyema Billa Alamzy the member of parliament for the Chianna-Paga constituency has stated the minority leader Afenyo Markin is a content creator.
The member of parliament noted that Afenyo Markin is a good politician but for the past four months, he has become a content creator.
Nikyema Billa Alamzy asserted that the minority leader when anything comes up goes optically to say things that are not in order.
Speaking on GHONE TV, Nikyema Billa Alamzy detailed, “They are still having a problem with the way they lost the 2024 election because of that they find it difficult to understand anything that comes on board from the NDC.
They are telling us that it is not because of the NDC or the performance of the finance minister that the Cedi appreciating against the dollar is there any logic in this then we will attribute it to who.
We have our neighbours around and I can tell you today the CFA is not appreciating against the dollar”.
He added, “I even read somewhere Hon Afenyo Markin I don’t know but he is supposed to reorganise this party for the past three or four months he is a good politician though but to me off late he is becoming a content creator.
Anything that comes up then he goes optically to say things that are not in order. I can tell you that for now we are managing the country very well and the cedi well and they cannot attribute it to any other person than the government”.
Alexander Afenyo Markin the Minority Leader in Parliament has stated the Ghanaian cedi is stable because the Mahama government since assuming office have not been spending.
According to Afenyo Markin, the cedi is stable not because the finance minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson is doing anything special.
He asserted that contractors are not being paid, it is because there is no liquid circulating in the economy.
Meanwhile, Dennis Miracles Aboagye a member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) communications team has admitted that the government of the day is responsible for the performance of the cedi.
According to Miracles Aboagye, the Mahama-led administration must be acknowledged for their role in the recent appreciation of the Ghana cedi against the US dollar.
In a post on Social media X, Dennis Miracles Aboagye wrote, “ The one thing I agree with @SammyGyamfi_and @AnnanPerry is their push to give credit to the NDC government for the recent appreciation of the Cedi. I hold the firm belief, the Gov’t of the day is responsible for the performance of the Cedi”.
