Residents of Asamankese, a town in the Eastern Region have been spotted scooping palm oil from a gutter.
According to a video posted by EdHub on X, a tanker carrying palm oil lost control and spilled its content on the road, with the palm oil eventually seeping into a nearby gutter.
Not wanting the palm oil to go waste, residents did not waste any more time as they jumped swiftly into action to collect the palm oil. Both men and women gathered around to collect the palm oil.
The question on the lips of many is if they are collecting the palm oil for personal use or for commercial purposes.
