A US tourist has angrily tackled a Macho man for purchasing a dog from a local meat market.
According to the US tourist, the man disrespected him and he is going to make him famous by telling the whole world he is a dog eater.
Speaking in the video the tourist stated, “You think it is funny to disrespect me, don’t you? You know what I’m gonna do, I’m gonna make you famous I’m going to let everybody know that you are taking this dog home to kill this dog.
And you disrespect me, let me let everybody know, this man here disrespects me, he is a dog killer. This man here disrespected me, I know you don’t care but guess what you are not going to do anything about it, that poor dog there has a soul and you gonna kill it and eat it. The world knows that you are a dog killer”.
The man however stated, “I don’t care, I am a dog killer”.
Dog meat is a delicacy among various cultures around the world, including in Ghana where some parts of the North are known for their dog meat industry.
Some Ghanaians have reacted to the video saying, “American tourist to Ghanaian man: ‘How dare you treat man’s best friend like man’s best snack?!’ Meanwhile, back in the U.S., cows named Bessie get turned into burgers without a single protest sign”.
“I feel for the dog, truly. But unless he’s a vegan, he should not forget that bacon and wings come from animals with souls too”, another stated.
Another stated, “The nerve of some foreigners—’You disrespect me’? Please. Unlike y’all with your cancel culture, we really don’t give a damn out here. Social media doesn’t hold the same power here. Respect goes both ways”.
One X user also claimed the man in the video was a Nigerian and not Ghanaian, “Stop being mischievous and a liar. The video was originally posted on the TL of Nigerian Blogger. It has no link to Ghana, let alone northern Ghana…. STOP THE MISINFORMATION…..”.
