A netizen has claimed that the Vice President Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is back in Ghana.
According to the Pro-NDC page on X, the vice president is back in town following her recovering.
The netizen in a post wrote, “BREAKING: VICE PRESIDENT IS BACK 💃”.
Professor Jane Naana begun a three-week medical break on April 7, 2025.
According to Jubilee House sources, the break follows medical advice from her doctor.
The news of her medical break came after she was rushed to the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) on Saturday, March 29, 2025, after a sudden illness on Friday night after work.
However, after administering the initial treatment, experts from the University of Ghana Medical Centre advised she seeks further treatment abroad.
This health update was disclosed in a statement issued by the Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
Meanwhile, President John Dramani Mahama has reassured Ghanaians the Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, is currently in good health, putting to bed rumours of her health.
According to the President, the Vice President is under recovery and is eager to return to serve the people of Ghana.
Delivering remarks at the official launch of the government’s nationwide sanitary pad distribution initiative on Thursday, April 24, President Mahama acknowledged the Vice President’s absence and shared an update on her condition.
“I wish to extend the greetings of Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang to all of you. I spoke to her yesterday and I told her we were going to miss her at this event because this is a programme that is very dear to her,” he said.
“She said I should say hello to all of you and to say she is recuperating and catching a bit of rest. She is very well and soon she will join us to continue to prosecute the reset agenda,” he added.
