The information gathered reveals a level 100 student of the University of Education, Winneba has committed suicide after his girlfriend cheated on him.
According to reports, the UEW student ended his life after finding out his girlfriend was cheating.
Reports suggest the young man could not stand the pain of losing the girl and ended his life.
A viral video on social media captured scores of students gathered as a police vehicle drives away from one of the university halls, apparently carrying the body of the deceased student.
According to UEW Diaries, the level 100 student was affiliated with GUSSS Hall One and was studying Art Education.
Eyewitness accounts claim the young man allegedly fainted on the spot after unexpectedly walking in on his girlfriend engaging in a sexual encounter with another man at GUSSS Hall Two. The emotional trauma from the incident is believed to have led him to take his own life,
Sources indicate that the deceased came from a well-to-do family, raising the painful question.
His body is in the custody of the police for further investigation. The young woman involved in the incident has reportedly been arrested and is currently being interrogated to assist in the ongoing investigation.
Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have reacted to the news saying, “Taking your life over a girl who looks like this clearly shows how unloved many of our young men are.
Additionally, dying over a girl whose primary contribution to your life is sex is an undeniably f00lish decision. No woman is worth your life! Love your sons!”
Another stated, “The father should be charged with some sort of an offense. He failed to teach his child the things to value in life, paramount thing of them all (life)”
