Ghana’s Vice President, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang has currently become the most preferred candidate to lead the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as its Presidential Candidate for the 2028 general elections.
Here preference amongst voters was revealed in a recent poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics.
According to the poll, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang managed to garner a total of 33% of all votes cast, making her the preferred choice as it stands to lead the NDC as its Presidential Candidate in the 2028 presidential elections.
Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, who is the current Vice President of Ghana on the ticket of the NDC, will be the winner of NDC’s flagbearer race should the party hold a delegates congress to elect a flagbearer for the 2028 elections.
Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu managed to poll 24% of total votes cast, while Finance Minister, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson follows with 16%.
Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and National Chairman of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia managed 13% of votes each.
These findings highlight the surprising preference for Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, and should she win the general elections in 2028, she will make history again, becoming the first female president of Ghana.
