Edudzi Tamekloe, the acting Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has stated the New Patriotic Party (NPP) boycotted Media General’s TV3 for the very same things Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is saying today.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) withdrew from all Media General’s platforms, including TV3, 3 FM, and Onua FM.
The party’s communications director, Richard Ahiagbah communicated through a press release issued on January 26 made this known.
According to the NPP, this follows months of supposed failed attempts to address concerns over biased and unprofessional conduct by Media General hosts and management.
According to Edudzi Tameklo, now that Bawumia has now done a 360 degree to confirm the very things Roland and Johnny were saying are NPP members now going to attack Dr Mahamudu Bawumia too?
He noted that the NPP insulted TV3’s Roland Walker and Johnnie Hughes for telling them what their former presidential candidate is saying today.
Speaking on TV3 New Day, Edudzi Tamakloe stated, “It is curious the NPP usually insult you (Roland Walker) they insult your brother Johnnie Hughes, in fact, they boycotted for some time this platform and their reason was that you were telling them, that there was the arrogance of power, you were telling them that the cost of living was going up”.
“The NPP were angry with you for saying this, so today Bawumia is saying one of the reasons why they went into opposition is the arrogance of power will NPP members insult him now like they have been doing to you?”
He added, “These were the things you were saying for which reason they branded you as NDC attacked you and said all kinds of things about you. I go and watch you and Johnnie I read the comment.
Now the person who led the charge now does 360 degrees to confirm the very things you and Johnny were saying. So are NPP members now going to attack Dr Mahamudu Bawumia so you see the level of insincerity that we have been talking about?”.
His comment comes on the back of Dr Bawumia listing the erstwhile Akufo-Addo government’s sins that led to the 2024 election defeat.
According to Dr Bawumia, hardship in the country, arrogance displayed by his government, e-levy, the debt restructuring program and the lack of reshuffling of ministerial portfolios caused the NPP’s defeat.
