Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has assured the caucus will not sit idle for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to intimidate Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin South, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour.
Speaking to the press after the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) allegedly besieged the residence of Ntim Fordjour, Afenyo-Markin stated emphatically, “Reverend cannot be made an example. Two, Reverend is not a loner he has not waled alone and will never walk alone. As a caucus we have our various committee heads and he is the leader of the Defence and Interior Committee of our caucus, and he speaks for the caucus, and he expresses the views of the caucus. So nobody should make any attempt to single him out and try to come here and intimidate him.”
Afenyo-Markin assured that the almighty God and the mighty 88 are fully behind Ntim Fordjour, and will ensure no harm befalls him.
“So, please gov’t officials enough is enough,” Afenyo-Markin urged government to stop, engage and assure they are ready to uphold the promises of the constitution and democracy. “The intimidation must stop,” he added.
Justin Kodua Frimpong the General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has claimed the home of Member of Parliament for Assin South, Rev John Ntim Fordjour has been stormed by National Investigation Bureau.
According to Justin Kodua, NIB has stormed the home of Ntim Fordjour to arrest him.

Alexander Twum Barimah, the Deputy Director-General of the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) had earlier warned Rev John Ntim Fordjour he would be arrested if continued with the path he is going on the allegations of drug trafficking.
According to Alexander Twum Barimah, NACOC has communicated through channels to get Ntim Fordjour to come to them, but he is claiming he has not been invited.
Speaking on Eyewitness News, Alexander Twum Barimah stated, “If he goes on the path he is going, he will leave us with no option but to go for him. Because you are refusing to come to us.
We have communicated through the channels to get you to come to us, but you said you have not been invited. He said on another platform that he is not going to appear even if we call him”, he added.
