Alhaji Seidu Agongo a Businessman and philanthropist has revealed President John Dramani Mahama helped Kennedy Agyapong retrieve his locked-up funds with the ECG.
He noted that President Mahama is not vindictive as he helped former member of parliament Kennedy Agyapong retrieve his locked-up money with ECG despite Ken being one of Mahama’s ferocious critics while in government during his previous term.
Speaking in an interview with Metro TV, Alhaji Seidu Agongo, “This is a secret that I want to reveal. There were times when Ken Agyapong’s money was locked up. He did some business with the Electricity Company of Ghana, but his money was locked. He went to JM, and Mahama ensured that he was paid under the previous NDC government—not because of Ken Agyapong himself, but because he understood that as a businessman, other lives depended on him.
If you go back to what Ken Agyapong did to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, one would not have expected him to support him. I have known him and I know the kindness of his heart and his focus. His focus is how to build a legacy, how to make Ghana to be self-sustaining”.
According to Alhaji Seidu Agongo, John Dramani Mahama eats with his enemies and it will be difficult for one to tell you are his enemy when you engage him.
Alhaji Seidu Agongo added, “His Excellency John Mahama is someone I admire so much. He even eats with his enemies. It is difficult to tell that you are his enemy when you are talking to him. He is ready to support anyone and everyone to evolve and become the best. I have never heard President John Dramani Mahama trying to crucify anybody,” he said.
Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have expressed their opinion saying, “ Kuffuor didn’t pay Ken, it was Mahama who paid him that money. 10m$ if I remember correctly. Ken himself said it all 3yrs ago”.
“JDM, you’re really a selfless and a God-fearing leader. God bless you so much. I always pray for your grace and that of your family. God bless you. Service to Ghana 🇬🇭 and Service to God @JDMahama”, an X user stated.
Another stated, “MAHAMA is really ONE of ONE ! I really hope and pray he’s able to leave a lasting legacy when he’s done ✔️ GHANA WILL REMEMBER HIM FOREVER … next to NKRUMAH and IK”.
Additionally, another stated, “And this man ranting about Mahama can’t even pay his staff, a lot of business but underpays his staff. He duped the state too with the cocoa fertilizer saga”.
