The founder of the Apostolic Recovery Movement Pastor John Wesley Amenuku Agble has tackled Daniel McKorley, founder of the McDan Group over a comment he made about Jericho hour.
According to McDan, certain institutions are harming Ghanaians and religious institutions are one.
He noted that Ghanaians on Monday between 10 am and 1 pm say Jericho hour so we are praying while there is work to be done.
Speaking on Oyerapa TV in an interview McDan stated, “Prayer is harming Ghanaians, certain institutions are harming Ghanaians and religious institutions are one, we have taken worshipping God to another level.
Just imagine, Monday 10 am to 1 pm they say Jericho hour so we are praying why? While there is work to be done. God has helped us, the God factor is very important to me, I will never touch anything without calling God but it is about our belief. Prayer is good but we have taken it to another level”.
However, the man of God has stated that Bad leadership is the problem of Ghana, not religion.
Speaking to his congregants, Pastor John Wesley Amenuku Agble stated, “Bad leadership is the problem of Ghana, not religion. Containers of ECG cables go missing but that is not the problem in Ghana; it is the prayer that people go to pray at Jericho Hour that is the problem. I don’t blame you”.
“The former president came up with a fantastic idea for school feeding but his own people look at how they messed it up, one of them has come out and she is talking. 1 cedis which is from the child to eat from the people living in big mansions still want to take part of the 1 cedis. That is not the problem of Ghana”, he lamented.
The man of God added, “The two-hour prayer somebody is going to pray because he has a problem he wants God to intervene that is the problem of Ghana.
“When I hear some of the corruption perpetrated in the country, I wonder if these people are human beings. And he (McDan) goes about saying the church is a problem. I said, look at this man oo… You want to attack prayer. I don’t blame him.
“Look at the church’s contribution to the development of Ghana. Check most of the secondary schools. Are they not mission schools? We have universities that are built by churches. Is that not adding to the development of the nation?” he quizzed.
