According to Dr Amoako Baah, NPP supporters must leave the party for the corrupt leaders and join the NPF which is set to emerge out of the NPP.

Dr Amoako Baah is quoted by 3news to have said, “ We want to fix the party, but those involved in the wrongdoing are the ones in charge. Do you think they will willingly give you a chance to throw them out?

“No, they won’t. Leave the party for them and form a new one. The shortest way around this thing is to form a new party”.

He further emphasized, “All NPP supporters should join the new party that is coming up, the New Patriotic Front. When it comes out, join. That will be the real party. The old one should be left for the corrupt leaders”.

“If I were the chairman, I would have thrown him out of the party. Because no president should be given any power to do such a thing. Campaign against your own party members…does the party belong to him?” he questioned.

Meanwhile, another member of the NPP Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, the former Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation has boldly stated bad elements within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) must be removed from the party.

He asserted that there were so many people behind the scenes in the NPP who loved the country and could have performed better but were sidelined by Akufo-Addo.

Prof Frimpong-Boateng revealed that Akufo-Addo was a unreceptive and close-minded.

Speaking on Nhyira FM in Kumasi, Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng stated, “All the executives must resign for leading the party to an unprecedented defeat; if the demons in the NPP are not removed from their leadership positions, the party will continue to suffer”.

Prof Frimpong Boateng further fired shots at former president Akufo-Addo for turning deaf ears to many pieces of advice which could have turned the country’s fortunes.

He added, “Akufo-Addo turned deaf ears to the many pieces of advice I gave him, which could have turned the fortunes. His governance was so disappointing. There are so many people behind the scenes in the NPP who love this country and could perform better, but were sidelined by President Akufo-Addo”.

“Good governance is common sense minus corruption; you don’t sit down and accumulate money as a country, you need exports which can be achieved by building a formidable human resource,”, Prof Frimpong Boateng emphasised.

Meanwhile,  a fellow at the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), Dr. Kwame Asiedu Sarpong, has warned of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) becoming obsolete shortly.

According to him, the party’s current political strategy will become its undoing if it does not quickly take steps to reassess it.
