According to him, members of the erstwhile New Patriotic Party (NPP) voluntarily blew the whistle on state capture and theft by their own party and Akufo-Addo led government.

“All the information we had came from the NPP grassroots. Locations of stolen cars, and other items were given by the NPP people,” Mustapha Gbande stated.

The Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) committee has submitted a report containing 2,417 complaints of suspected corruption to President John Dramani Mahama.

Chairman of the committee, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa made this revelation on Monday February 10, 2025 when the committee presented its report to President Mahama at the Jubilee House.

According to the chairman of the committee, they have received a number of phone calls and emails of corruption related complaints.

“We received 1,493 calls through the toll-free line. We also received 924 emails. Fortunately, all the calls are recorded automatically, and the emails have also been preserved for verification and validation”.

He stated that, “in total, the number of complaints received amounts to 2,417.”

Okudzeto Ablakwa emphasized the necessity of the ORAL Committee, questioning what the petitioners would have done if the President had not established it.

“So, those who had any doubt about how relevant and timely the President’s intervention was at the time, this is your evidence. 2,417 complaints received. Where would all of these people have gone if President Mahama had not set up the ORAL preparatory team?” he asked.

Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) is a comprehensive anti-corruption program that seeks to:

Investigate Cases of Corruption: A specialized task force to be established to scrutinize suspected cases of corruption under previous administrations, particularly targeting the period of governance by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Recover Misappropriated State Resources: ORAL prioritizes the retrieval of stolen state funds, property, and other assets, repurposing them for national development projects.

Prosecute Offenders: The NDC’s commitment extends to prosecuting individuals or entities found guilty of embezzling public resources. This includes members of the outgoing NPP government as well as future offenders.

The ORAL team includes Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa – Chairman, Mr. Daniel Domelevo – Former Auditor-General, COP (Rtd.) Nathaniel Kofi Boakye, Mr. Martin Kpebu – Private Legal Practitioner, and Mr. Raymond Archer – Investigative Journalist.
