Speaking in an interview with Lawson TV, shared on YouTube, Apau Gyamfi rebuked Nuamah for speaking to the media about certain things.

He stated, “You’ve seen the house, so there’s no need to go out there and say certain things. For us, we don’t reject people. If President Kufuor is your father, that’s not news. Just use the right channels to get what you are looking for.”

“You’ve said you know the house, so why not go there directly and stop using social media? The man is elderly”, he added.

The 51-year-old Kwamena Nuamah, a tipper truck driver from Bogoso in the interview recounted his lifelong struggle to discover his father’s identity.

He revealed he was raised by his grandmother for 39 years after his mother deserted him at a young age.

According to him, his mother had travelled to Kumasi Railways to seek employment and became pregnant while there but never revealed the identity of the man responsible for the pregnancy.

He further gave details that a year and six months old, his mother left him in the care of his grandmother and travelled to the neighbouring countryCôte d’Ivoire.

When she returned, she fell ill and later passed away, without revealing to him who his father was.

Nuamah further alleged that a classmate of his late mother constantly told him that his father was a great man and that he was not living a life right to his true status which led him on a quest to uncover the truth about his father.

“I went to Apagyafie in the Ashanti Region, and I was told that my father is former President Kufuor. I also sought help from Chairman Wontumi, who contacted NPP Women’s Organizer Nana Ama Ampomah.

She asked me to take a picture of my mother for further verification,” Kwamena Nuamah stated.

Kwamena Nuamah disclosed despite numerous attempts to meet Kufuor and verify his assertion, has been futile.
