The Interior Ministry some days ago denied issuing directives for pastors and individuals for bypassing security checks.

A statement issued by the Public Affairs and Communications Unit of the Ministry dismissed the rumours, “The Ministry of the Interior is compelled to address a disturbing trend of misinformation circulating on social media, suggesting that certain individuals, including pastors, have been granted special privileges to bypass security checks.

The Ministry of the Interior wishes to state categorically that these claims are baseless, entirely false and should be disregarded immediately.

It is important to note that the Ministry of the Interior has not issued any directives or protocols allowing specific groups or individuals to circumvent security checks.

The Ministry reaffirms its commitment to maintaining peace and security across the country, ensuring equal protection for all citizens without discrimination”, the statement added.

The Interior Ministry further called on social media users and the general public to verify information through official channels before sharing to prevent the spread of misinformation.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of the Interior added it remains steadfast in its duty to safeguard the nation and uphold rigorous security protocols to protect all citizens.
