Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa the Minister for Foreign Affairs has sarcastically mocked the member of parliament for the Ranking Member of the Defence and Interior Committee, Rev John Ntim Fordjour.
According to Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, he has not changed his first name but he keeps seeing names such as Tulaku Ablakwa, Temu Ablakwa, Wannabe Ablakwa, Low-Budget Ablakwa.
He further asked Ghanaians what was happening and whether he was missing something.
Ablakwa in a post on X wrote, “ Folks, what at all is happening? I haven’t changed my first name but I keep seeing Tulaku Ablakwa, Temu Ablakwa, Wannabe Ablakwa, Low-Budget Ablakwa — am I missing something?”
Netizens on social media for days now have been mocking Rev John Ntim Fordjour after his press conference alleging that two suspicious flights AirMed Flight N823AM and Cavok Air Antonov An-12B recently landed at Kotoka International Airport from Gran Canaria, a location known for drug trafficking and money laundering. Intelligence suggests these flights carried suspected cocaine and cash.
The Minority demanded full disclosure of the cargo contents to assure Ghanaians of airspace security.
Some netizens under Abalkwa’s post explained to him saying, “ The NPP is trying to invent a China version of yourself into the Ghanaian political landscape. But the noise from this wannabe version pierces our ears so much like the noise from a China phone”.
”‘The Wannabe Ablakwa’ is for Rev. Ntim Fordjour, and the rest are directed at all other NPP leaders who think they can be like you”, another stated.
Meanwhile, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister of State in charge of Government Communications has tackled the Ranking Member of the Defence and Interior Committee, Rev John Ntim Fordjour for peddling total falsehoods and lies.
According to Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Rev John Ntim Fordjour was peddling falsehood in a bid to undermine the goodwill the government is enjoying from Ghanaians.
According to Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the fact that they exist varies completely from the claims that Ntim Fordjour made.
He further alleged that the MP has since distanced himself after he was invited to assist with the investigation.
Speaking on the issue on Thursday, April 3, “I can report to you that because he knew he was peddling total falsehoods and lies, he now claims after being invited to assist with investigations that he was speaking on behalf of the committee that he was part of and that the views he expressed were not his personal views, so because of that he says he is unable to cooperate with the security agencies”.
“I say that he was peddling falsehood because the facts as they exist vary completely from the claims that he made. When he made that claim, he was only seeking to peddle falsehood in a bid to undermine the confidence that the people of Ghana have in this government,” he added.
However, Rev John Ntim Fordjour has rebutted claims by Felix Kwakye Ofosu that he was invited by security agencies to assist with investigations into allegations of suspicious flights.
Meanwhile, the information gathered revealed the AirMed International aircraft N823AM made multiple stops for fuel including a stop at the Kotoka International Airport.
It also revealed upon landing the aircraft experienced maintenance issues and a second aircraft was dispatched with replacement parts, supplies and technicians.
AirMed International boldly stated their aircraft wasn’t engaged in any illegal activities.
According to them, they are confident that the flight documentation and details will demonstrate that the AirMed aircraft was not engaged in any illegal activities.
