Dr Richard Amoako Baah, a former NPP National Chairman candidate, has announced he’s no longer a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to Dr Richard Amoako Baah, he is no longer a member of the NPP due to what he describes as “chaos” within its ranks.
Speaking on Adom FM, Dr Richard Amoako Baah stated, “Oh yes that is it, I have stopped, the party is not good in the way I like it, the chaos within the party within the party is too much, If I want to speak about it I will not finish”.
Dr Richard Amoako Baah has also described the party as having been captured by demonic influences.
According to him, the widespread dishonesty and acts of wickedness that plagued the Akufo-Addo-led administration is evidence of the party being under satanic influences.
In a recent interview on Adom FM, he boldly said, “Satan has taken over the NPP, and so we are not worried about criminality. We don’t care when we are lying, we steal money without any remorse; look at what they did with the pensioners’ money. They watched on for KAMA to die; are they that wicked? Nobody was even able to assist him in any way. They will surely pay for what they did”.
During the interview, Dr. Amoako Baah reiterated his decision to leave the party. he noted that violence and the bad deeds in the party keeps on escalating day by day.
His comments come shortly after former Minister for Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, similarly called for the removal of what he described as “demons” within the NPP.
Professor Frimpong-Boateng emphasized that he expected all party executives to step down, citing what he described as poor leadership a failure he believes resulted in the party’s defeat in the 2024 elections.
Following the party’s overwhelming defeat at the December 7, 2025 general elections, some members of the party have openly criticized the party.
The NPP’s General Secretary issued a gag order, directing party faithful to cease publicly maligning the party in the media.
His bastardizing of the party comes after the party announced the formation of a nine-member committee tasked with reviewing recommendations from the Professor Mike Oquaye-led Elections Review Committee report.
The Oquaye Committee was established to investigate the reasons behind the party’s loss, which included a significant reduction in parliamentary seats and the presidency.
Speaking at a press briefing, the NPP General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong emphasized the need for constitutional amendments to address gaps identified in the report.
“The National Council accepted the report, but there are several steps we need to take as a party. We need to sit down and deliberate on the report. There will be a need for a constitutional amendment”.
He assured the public that the party would communicate the report’s contents and recommendations in due course.
Frimpong Koduah also cautioned party members against speculative comments, urging patience as the committee begins its work.
