The Member of Parliament for the Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency Frank Annoh-Dompreh has predicted that next year Ghanaians are going to see scandals that will emerge under the John Mahama-led NDC government.
According to Annoh Dompreh, he is not cursing the government but scandals will begin to emerge under the John Mahama administration next year.
Annoh Dompreh speaking on Asaapa FM stated, “I will not curse them, by next year we are all in this country you will see the scandals that will emerge”, he boldly predicted.
The member of parliament in that same interview claimed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) fall had started early.
According to Annoh Dompreh, the John Mahama NDC-led government are yet to be six months in office but they have started to fall.
His assertion follows the recent cocaine brouhaha between the Minister of State in charge of Government Communications Felix Kwakye Ofosu and the Member of Parliament for Assin South Rev Ntim Fordjour.
When Felix Kwakye Ofosu accused the Ranking Member of the Defence and Interior Committee, Rev John Ntim Fordjour of peddling total falsehoods and lies after John Mahama ordered a collaboration into his alleged suspicious flight at the Kotoka International Airport.
Rev John Ntim Fordjour during a press conference alleged that two suspicious flights AirMed Flight N823AM and Cavok Air Antonov An-12B recently landed at Kotoka International Airport from Gran Canaria, a location known for drug trafficking and money laundering. Intelligence suggests these flights carried suspected cocaine and cash.
Speaking on the issue on Thursday, April 3, Felix Kwakye stated, “I can report to you that because he knew he was peddling total falsehoods and lies, he now claims after being invited to assist with investigations that he was speaking on behalf of the committee that he was part of and that the views he expressed were not his personal views, so because of that he says he is unable to cooperate with the security agencies”.
“I say that he was peddling falsehood because the facts as they exist vary completely from the claims that he made. When he made that claim, he was only seeking to peddle falsehood in a bid to undermine the confidence that the people of Ghana have in this government,” he added.
Annoh Dompreh stated, “If you are a minister for communication you speak for the president, anything you say is as if the president is the one talking, at one breadth the president said they should collaborate at another breadth you have jump the gun that he was lying and calling him all sorts of names”.
“They should know that pride comes before a fall, their fall has started early, when every government comes at least one year or two years some things start not to go well but theirs it not even been six months”, he added.
Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have fired shots at the member of parliament for his comments saying, “Wow look at how they’ve failed so early…. How terrible of them to clear the NHIS debt while at the same time removing taxes. No wonder most Ghanaians feel Ghana is on the right track. …. I now know the demons that have to leave NPP for it to be better”.
“In Ghana even members of parliament have been conditioned that unless scandals and failed management of the country can secure them electoral victory. It is never based on who can do better but who can fail less. Hmmm”, another netizen wrote.
One X user also stated, “@JDMahama, it appears Frank Annoh Dompreh and his cohorts are wishing for your government to eclipse Nana Addo’s government in corruption scandals. Stay vigilant and take decisive action against any wrongdoing”.
