Speaking on Nhyira FM in Kumasi, Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng stated, “Akufo-Addo turned deaf ears to the many pieces of advice I gave him, which could have turned the fortunes. His governance was so disappointing. There are so many people behind the scenes in the NPP who love this country and could perform better, but were sidelined by President Akufo-Addo”.

“Good governance is common sense minus corruption; you don’t sit down and accumulate money as a country, you need exports which can be achieved by building a formidable human resource,”, Prof Frimpong Boateng emphasised.

Prof Frimpong Boateng further added that New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives must resign for leading the party to an unprecedented defeat in the 2024 election.

According to Prof Frimpong Boateng, all NPP executives must resign for bad leadership, which led to the party’s shameful defeat.

He asserted that a change in leadership will restore dignity and trust among the grassroots as well as Ghanaians.

He stated, “All the executives must resign for leading the party to an unprecedented defeat; if the demons in the NPP are not removed from their leadership positions, the party will continue to suffer”.

Prof Frimpong Boateng further fired shots at former president Akufo-Addo for turning deaf ears to many pieces of advice which could have turned the country’s fortunes.

Meanwhile, The Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, has revealed that 80% of Ghanaians voted against the NPP’s presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, because of former President Akufo-Addo.

According to Mussa Dankwah, Ghanaians voted against Dr Mahamudu Bawumia because of his tide to Akufo-Addo.

He noted that Dr Bawumia tried to move away from Akufo-Addo when he stated he was just a mere mate in the Akufo-Addo government.

Speaking on Peace FM, Mussah Dankwah detailed, “We have done some work; I think the blame goes to Nana Addo, about 80 percent of voters blame Nana Addo for the NPP lost. 80 percent, and that is very huge and secondly, Bawumia, not for his campaign performance, by his tide to Nana Addo, he could not distance himself from Nana Addo”.

“If you remember those mate arguments, he was trying to in the minds of people to move away from Nana Addo that would have helped if people believed in him, but because they didn’t believe that, they didn’t buy into that”, he added.

Mussah Dankwah further added, “In terms of personally blaming him, he runs like fourth in the level of tier of blaming as a person. Ofori Atta comes third, before Bawumia. Nana Addo is the key issue, after him was Bawumia’s closeness to Nana Addo, and then we have Ken Ofori Atta and the Bawumia as a person.

So, we put the issue down so we can know exactly where to lay the blame, but mostly the blame went to Nana Addo, it was his legacy and his record that Bawumia had to run on, and the experience people had at the time was not good”, he noted.
