A video has surfaced on social media of some Accra Newtown residents blowing an alarm on a hotel allegedly offering room services to underage girls.
According to them, three underage girls were found lodged at the hotel in the late hours of yesterday.
They therefore called on the Ghana Police Service and relevant authorities to take appropriate actions against the establishment.
In the viral video shared by SIKA OFFICIAL, a narrator in the video stated, “ Have you seen this whole, it in New Town, children underage go there and they take money from them and they are given rooms in the hotel and boys usually sleep with the underage girls in the hotel.
The name of the hotel is Shiva Hotel in Newtown, this hotel the police must come close down the hotel they are destroying the lives of underage children. Just this evening we captured three girls at the Hotel in a car, they have claimed their money and have been given rooms”, the lady cried out.
Some Ghanaians have reacted to the video stating, “ That’s deeply concerning. I hope the authorities act swiftly to investigate and ensure the safety of those girls”.
“Shiva hotel .. research on who shiva is then you will understand why they are doing what they are doing!”, another stated.
One X user added, “That’s Shiva Hotel, it’s behind the Ghana Commercial Bank just opposite the Experimental School.
Additional an X user also added, “So these under age girls nu where are their parents anaa their parents don’t care about them and who even gives them the money to go there smh”.
“Accra de3 3kcm ne gyimii nti everything is possible how do u operate a hotel and allow under age and young ppl to have access kyere s3 manners koraa they not get hunger dey every where oh but the Capital of Ghana de3 is too much so they are misbehaving saa kwa shame 🤧🤧”, another commented added.
A netizen also asked there is no police station in the area, “Do they have police station in their neighbourhood? And what time was this recorded cos we can clearly see young girls in uniform ooo? 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️This is very disturbing hmmm”.
