According to Lawyer Kpebu, a resignation would be better for the CJ than going to fight this kind of thing.

He asserted that the legal tussle is going to open a can of worms which would rake all the old wounds like the Anas exposé, everything is going to come out, thrown at the system.

Speaking on JOY FM, Martin  Kpebu stated, “A resignation would be better than for us to go through all of this. She can be exonerated theoretically, but if you look at dragging this matter on in the public domain and everything, by the time we are done, the whole system would have suffered too much”

“This is going to open a can of worms. It would rake all the old wounds—the Anas exposé, everything is going to come out, thrown at the system. And it’s not good for our democracy to drag this matter,” he warned.

Lawyer Kpebu added, “A resignation would be in order so that everything is curtailed, so that we move on quickly. If I were asked in terms of strategy, a resignation would be better than going to fight this kind of thing”.

The information gathered reveals that two new petitions have been filed against Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo for her removal from office.

The two more petitions filed against the suspended Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo bring the petition against her to five.

Meanwhile, Sammy Gyamfi the acting Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC) has levelled some shocking allegations at the suspended Chief Justice, Gertrude Araba Sackey Torkonoo.

According to Sammy Gyamfi the suspended Chief Justice blew state funds on her family’s private trip.

He alleged that Gertrude Araba Sackey Torkonoo spent nearly GH₵260,000 on business class air tickets and approximately $30,000 in per diem allowances for her family during the trip.
