Look at Ato, when he did social media interaction recently on X space over 60,000 young people, right now all the young people are gravitating towards the NDC. The NDC has become a brand that listens to them and caters to their needs”, he emphasised.

Meanwhile, a netizen has admitted that the majority of Ghanaians in their late twenties and thirties grew up never wanting to be associated with the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to the netizen identified as Chris Atadika, the majority of the people within that age range grew up in an era where the NDC was heavily demonised.

His comments come on the back of Finance Minister Dr Ato Forson presenting the 2025 budget which many Ghanaians have hailed to be one of the best budgets so far in Ghana.

In a post on X, the netizen stated, “Majority of us in our late 20s to 30s now grew up in an era where the NDC was heavily demonised. As a result, we grew affinity towards the NPP and never wanted to be seen politically associated with the NDC”.

He further asserted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has in recent years lost many such people to the NDC due to the poor governance during the Nana Addo-Bawumia government.

“I can confidently say that in recent years, the NPP has lost many of such people to the NDC largely due to the poor governance during the Nana Addo-Bawumia govt”, he added.

He further stressed that the more the NDC government delivers on its promises, the more trouble for NPP.

Chris Atadika added, “The more this current NDC govt delivers on its promises, the more trouble for NPP. For now, it is not looking good for the NPP at all”.

Some Ghanaians under his post have also shared their thoughts with one stating he grew up thinking the NDC was the “villain” and leaned towards NPP.

“Many of us grew up thinking NDC was the “villain” and leaned towards NPP. But Nana Addo-Bawumia’s poor governance changed that. Now, with Mahama delivering, the NPP is in serious trouble. The more NDC performs, the worse it gets for them”, he stated.

Another stated, “Growing up, especially in the Ashanti region, people were even shy to publicly declare they belonged to the NDC, but now trust me, many youths between that age gap belong to the NDC”.

“NPP must first accept that pride, arrogance, and selfishness were their problem. I dare to say even his excellency, the ex-president, Nana Addo, was also a bigger problem. His last 3 years in power were full of pride and unchecked corruption. He collapsed the NPP”, a netizen stated.

Additionally one narrated how she dared not talk about the fact that she was NDC, saying, “ This issue er,  somewhere 2008 I was doing attachment in my hometown twifo proso branch of NHIA. I dared not talk about the fact that I’m an NDC, it felt like a crime to the ears of the people. Now ndc is the most attractive party with more intellectuals and youth.  I’m proud”.

A user further blamed Akufo-Addo and his family members for destroying the NPP, “The damage Nana Addo and his few family members and friends have done to NPP errr they will appreciate it sometime in the future. NDC members have realised this is the best opportunity for them to cement their legacy. Adidi Daa y3 sen adidi pr3ko. They looted like there’s no tomorrow”, he emphasized.
