The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has urged its members to desist from airing their dirty linen in public.

The party issued a directive to its members on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Signed by the party’s General Secretary, party faithful were urged to refrain from discussing internal party matters in the media that could lead to disaffection and unrest.

This comes in the wake of the party’s defeat in the recent elections, which has left many members expressing their frustration and disappointment publicly.

In a statement on Thursday, March 20, Justin Kodua Frimpong, General Secretary of the Party emphasized the need for calm and unity among members, citing the party’s Constitution under Article 10(7)(5), which mandates coordination of party activities.

The directive calls for an immediate halt to media discussions that could tarnish the party’s image or create divisions.

The statement also reminded members of Article 3(5) of the NPP Constitution, which enjoins all party faithful to promote and defend the good name of the party.

“Let us uphold the values of the NPP and work together to rebuild a stronger party for the future,” the statement read.

To enforce this directive, the party leadership at the national, regional, and constituency levels has been tasked with referring any violators to the appropriate disciplinary committees. This move is seen as a step towards fostering unity and rebuilding the party’s strength in preparation for future challenges.

The NPP leadership has called on all members to remain focused on the party’s core values and work collaboratively to restore its standing.
