Ralph Agyapong also revealed that the NPP might have an early congress probably next year.

Speaking in an interview with Kings Jersey TV in the United States on March 15, 2025, he stated, “I can tell you on authority that he will contest the presidency or the NPP primaries, hopefully, next year, because we might have an early congress. He will be on the ballot paper”.

“As I speak, a lot of people have made a U-turn,” he stated.

Ralph Agyapong further revealed that the strategy used in the 2024 election did not help the NPP.

“The strategy that was used did not help the party to win”, he stated boldly.

Meanwhile, last year a poster of the former New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy Agyapong surfaced on social media.

The poster of Kennedy Agyapong surfaced after the NPP lost the 2024 elections in an embarrassing faction.

The Assin Central member of parliament lost the November 4 NPP primaries to Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.

Dr. Bawumia won with 118,210 votes, representing 61.47% of the total votes cast.

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong secured the second-highest votes with 71,996 votes, representing 35.52% of the total valid votes.

The Lawmaker after the NPP primaries defeat expressed his grievances after he felt he had been offended by some individuals within the NPP.

Additionally, a Ghanaian youth has said Kennedy Agyapong is one of the reasons why the National Democratic Congress (NDC) won the elections.

According to the Ghanaian youth, Kennedy Agyapong during the NPP primaries stated if Bawumia won he would not cheat, but he knows how they cheated the NDC in the previous elections.

Speaking on Flow Your Mind, he stated, “I will thank Kennedy Agyapong he is part that the NDC now knows they can look after the country properly, At the time of the Primaries he said something that Bawumia won’t cheat, but he knows how they cheated NDC in the previous elections if you will remember. So, I am not surprised the NDC won”.

The NPP went into the 2024 elections with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia with a poor showing from him, could Kennedy Agyapong be able to win the NPP primaries in the future to lead the NPP in the 2028 elections?
