A netizen has boldly stated that social media influencer Joshua Buernortey Boye-Doe commonly known as Kalyjay is a hypocrite.
According to the netizen, Kalyjay is officially a National Democratic Congress (NDC) hireling.
The netizen comment came after the social media influencer commented on X suggesting that Ghanaian media personality Okatakyi Afrifa can speak but the former member of parliament for Dome Kwabenya Sarah Adwoa Safo could not.
Kalyjay in his post wrote, “ Okatakyi can speak but Adwoa Sarfo. Can’t speak. Are you against women? Selective justice?? Is this how the NPP operates??? Sad. My soul is sad and weary. Kotoka and Kwame Nkrumah didn’t struggle for this”.
Reacting to the comments made by Kalyjay the netizen wrote, “Hypocrisy! You are officially an NDC hireling. Is Okatakyi and Adwoa Safo talking about the same thing? If Okatakyi can speak why did your govt arrest him? KalyJay, you are a hypocrite, no two ways about that”.
The netizen further claimed that the media personality was criticizing the NDC government and got arrested, but Adwoa Safo is criticizing her own party.
He further added, “Okatakyi is criticising your govt and you can’t stand it so you got him arrested, Adwoa Safo is criticising her own party which is fine by me”.
It will be recalled that Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah was arrested and released after he was picked up by some National Security operatives.
According to reports, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah the host of FOR THE RECORDS”, was arrested on Wednesday 19 March 2025.
However, it is unclear why he was arrested.
Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah’s arrest led to a widespread outrage with many calling for his immediate release.
The NPP has condemned his arrest and labelled it a direct attack on democracy and press freedom.
Additionally, Adwoa Safo has been on a media rampage ranting about her long-endured unfair treatment.
Sarah Adwoa Safo cried out that there was a character assassination against her.
According to Adwoa Safo, there was a need for her to set the records straight and nobody should tell her that she was discussing party issues on TV or Radio.
She asserted that things that were said against her are now stuck in the minds of many Ghanaians and she had been branded in a way.
Speaking in an interview with JOYNEWS, Adwoa Safo narrated, “There was a character assassination, and there was the need to set the record straight nobody should tell me that I am discussing party issues on TV, or radio so I should stop. Reputation is everything that anybody has got things that we said, things that we did and said about me are stuck in the minds of Ghanaians.
I have been branded the way I am not supposed to be branded and I owe it to myself to clear it up, to let Ghanaians know my side of the story, and that is not selling my party”.
